ExtractMore.WasteLess.
Transforming oilfield wastewater into America's critical mineral supply—powering clean energy, securing national independence, and restoring western water.
Our Mission
From waste stream to wealth stream
We transform oilfield produced water—the industry's largest waste stream—into critical minerals and clean water.
Produced Water
Up to ten barrels of mineral-rich wastewater per barrel of oil. An overlooked resource hiding in plain sight.
Selective Extraction
Proprietary chemistry targets each mineral individually, separating critical resources from brine.
Minerals + Clean Water
Critical minerals for the energy transition. Clean water for communities. Value from what was once waste.
“Two crises. One overlooked solution.”
The Problem
Two Crises, One Common Thread
Critical Mineral Dependence
America's energy transition is built on a dangerous dependency. The U.S. imports over half of the critical minerals essential for batteries, renewable energy, and defense technology. That's 28 of 50 critical minerals more than half imported—and 12 minerals entirely imported. This isn't just an economic vulnerability. It's a national security risk.
Water Scarcity
The Western U.S. is running out of water. Texas faces a looming water shortfall by 2027. Agriculture, data centers, and growing communities are competing for an increasingly scarce resource. And every year, the oil and gas industry produces record volumes of wastewater—billions of gallons sent underground to disposal wells, never to be used again.
Two crises. One overlooked solution: the mineral-rich water already flowing beneath our feet.

Our Approach
Three Strategies, One Vision
Rocinante doesn't follow the industry playbook. We're pursuing a diversified, asset-backed strategy that generates cash flow from day one.
Acquiring Conventional Assets
We target mature oil and gas fields overlooked by major operators. Higher water production means lower acquisition costs—and higher value for us. These assets come with decades of production history, existing infrastructure, and immediate revenue.
Transforming Disposal Wells into Recycling Centers
We acquire midstream saltwater disposal assets and retrofit them to extract minerals before disposal. Lower fees for operators. Higher value for us. Minimal upfront capital.
Tapping Concentrated Underground Reservoirs
Decades of mineral-rich wastewater injection have created untapped underground reservoirs near disposal wells. We drill vertical wells into these disposal zones, extract the concentrated minerals, and re-inject the brine.
Market Opportunity
A Convergence of Demand
The markets we serve aren't speculative. They're massive, growing, and essential.
2023
Tesla Gigafactory
Nevada
2025
Lucid Motors
Arizona
2027
Ford BlueOval
Michigan
2030
GM / Volkswagen
Ohio & South Carolina
Battery Manufacturing
Lithium-ion battery plants are coming online across the U.S. Domestic production is set to expand, needing domestic supply chains.
Agriculture
The Western U.S. faces water shortages. Rocinante’s treated produced water can serve agriculture in regions where oil and gas operations coexist with farming.
Data Centers
The AI revolution drives unprecedented data center growth. These facilities need enormous water volumes for cooling with strict quality standards.
Critical Minerals
The global shift to electrification and renewable energy drives demand for lithium, rare earth elements, cobalt, and manganese.
Technology & Innovation
Smarter Fields, Stronger Outcomes
Rocinante isn't just an energy company. We're a technology-driven resource recovery platform.

01
AI-Enabled Smart Fields
Replacing manual data collection with sensors and artificial intelligence to optimize the flow of oil, gas, and water in real time. Smart fields maximize production, minimize waste, and generate better returns.
02
Technology Partnerships
Identifying and partnering with best-in-class technology providers for joint ventures that integrate seamlessly across the value chain—from extraction to separation to purification.
03
Multi-Mineral Extraction
A full-spectrum approach extracting lithium, rare earth elements, strontium, manganese, rubidium, and cobalt from the same water stream. Diversified portfolio reduces commodity price exposure.
